Bronze Star
The Lifesaving Society’s Bronze Star develops swimming proficiency, lifesaving skill and
personal fitness. Candidates refine their stroke mechanics, acquire self-rescue skills,
and apply fitness principles in training workouts. Bronze Star is excellent preparation for
success in Bronze Medallion and provides a fun introduction to lifesaving sport.
Prerequisite: candidates must be 8-12 years of age. Should be able to swim 100 meters of front crawl, back crawl and breast stroke.
Recommend buying Canadian Lifesaving Manual as it is required for both Bronze Medallion and Cross. It is an important resource for your child's lifesaving journey.
